We are seeking a vigilant, proactive, and highly analytical Information Security Engineer to join our dedicated cybersecurity team. Key Responsibilities
Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Continuously monitor security systems and network traffic for suspicious activity. Act as a key responder during security breaches or incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing immediate remediation steps.
Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests on applications, networks, and cloud infrastructure to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses.
Security Architecture & Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions.
Policy Compliance & Governance: Ensure all IT infrastructure and business processes align with security standards and industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC2). Assist in developing and updating security policies and best practices.
Identity & Access Management (IAM): Manage and audit user access rights, implementing the principle of least privilege to ensure that data access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Threat Intelligence: Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, malware trends, and security exploits. Proactively suggest improvements to our security posture based on the threat landscape.
Security Awareness Training: Provide guidance and training to employees on cybersecurity best practices, including phishing awareness and safe data handling procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in a security-focused role (e.g., Security Analyst, Security Engineer). Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM tools like Splunk or ELK, vulnerability scanners like Nessus/Burp Suite).
Solid understanding of network security, encryption standards, and web application security.
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or OSCP are highly preferred.
Ability to script in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for security automation.
